Attentive service, tasty food, portions a bit small. Had muscles, cacio e pepe, steak, brussels
Been here a handful of times and every time is delicious. This last time I ordered the beets and ricotta for an appetizer and the salmon for entree. Ricotta and beets were slightly sweet and a great component to the salmon. Salmon has super crispy skin which elevated the dish and a very yummy simple arugula salad with lemon dressing that did not overshadow how great the fish tasted. It is BYOB but they do have some wines if you forget a bottle. The decor is nice enough for a date night or business lunch! Define recommend to give it a try.
This place has been on my list for a while, and i'm so glad I finally went. For an appetizer we went with the crispy brussel sprouts: (5/5) The sauce on the right side of the dish was spoon-licking worthy and honestly should be served with the complimentary bread because it was way more delicious than the red sauce served with it For the main we split the: Chicken Milanese: (5/5) This was incredibly juicy and crispy on the outside. The flavor combo when combined with the tortelloni truffle sauce was incredible. They should add a chicken parm on their menu because the quality of their chicken breast is amazing. Tortelloni: (5/5!!!!) The truffle taste wasn't too overpowering and the tortellinis were stuffed with yummy mushrooms. Walnuts added a good crunch. DEFINITELY the star of the meal. Would definitely come back :)
Lets start with the food...it was superb and everything was presented beautifully! We had the grilled octopus (tasty, not bad), crispy branzino (flaky perfection), and the short rib ragu papardelle pasta (soft, rich, melt in your mouth) and truffle risotto (exquisite). I would probably skip the octopus because it was ok but Ambrosia's branzino and short rib ragu pasta is the best I've had. I would definitely order these again. Service: We sat at the first table by the stairs on the first floor even though we had reservations for the second floor. No explanation was given for the switch. It was nice but didn't give off a nice ambiance when you have a solid wall next to you and hear the creak of someone going up and down the stairs throughout the night. The service at dinner was decent up until the end. We asked for our leftovers to be boxed and they literally handed us containers for us to do it ourselves. I normally wouldn't raise an eyebrow on this but seeing the waitstaff box the leftovers for the other two tables next to us instead of handing them boxes was disappointing, hence I held off on a five star rating.
Nice cozy Italian restaurant on the corner. They are still BYOB but seem to also now offer their own beverage menu as well. Lots of tasty dishes to choose from, and you also get a complementary bread basket with your meal. The crispy gnocchi was divine, mixed in with mushroom and squash over a creamy thick sauce. Presentation of all dishes were appetizing. Good service as well, we were well taken care of. Everything came out extremely quick from the kitchen. Thanks
